Floyd Mayweather Vs Conor McGregor, Much More Than Expected

Floyd Mayweather, who was all the way favorite proved the predictions right by winning one of the most expensive boxing fights ever, sailing to his 50th consecutive win in his super extra career.

McGregor, on the other hand, was nothing less. He gave a much more tough fight than what was being predicted. Analysts were predicting, he would be down in the first round but he made it to 10th, which is unbelievable for a debut.

Conor McGregor imposed some serious punches to Mayweather in the first round. Mayweather, who came out of retirement for a $300 fight crafted a plan to survive till last round and McGregor being the debutant, was not aware of it.

Mayweather waited till the last rounds and then started his punching which obviously did put a great impact on Conor, being tired.

But the 29-year old Conor McGregor was almost dehydrated and was down 89-81 89-82 87-83 when the stoppage was announced.

Mayweather said, ‘He was a lot better than I thought. But I was the better man. I guaranteed everybody this would not go the distance. Boxing’s reputation was on the line.’

‘I thought it was close and I thought it was a bit of an early stoppage. I was just a little fatigued,’ McGregor told media.
