Breaking News – Washington (NEWZ247) The US is working on new methods with India and Pakistan for indorsing stability and reconciliation in Afghanistan stated by the State Department of America.
The State Department’s annual report on its financial concerns for the new fiscal year highlights this as a key element of new US policy for South Asia that President Donald Trump publicized on Aug 21.
“Our tactic to South Asia, and precisely Afghanistan, means new approaches with India and Pakistan to deny safe havens to terrorist organisations,” says State Department.
And the main persistence behind this fresh or different approach is to “create the conditions for settlement with the Taliban and a process that supports the Afghan government in providing security for their own people,”
The report also notes that the US mission’s security policies limiting staff travel in the country, made it difficult to meet with Pakistani contacts and viewers; this, in some cases, impeded operations or programme execution.
