Ronaldo celebrating after second goal

Real Madrid a draw away of their first Spanish title since 2012.

On Wednesday Madrid defeated 10-man Celta Vigo by 4-1 winning this match Madrid verge of its first Spanish league title in five years. A draw at mid-table Malaga in the final round on Sunday will allow Madrid to lift the trophy.

Once again Ronaldo made the difference as he blasted into the top corner after just 10 minutes and then added a second with a composed finish early in the second-half. However, Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos rounded off another four-goal win for Madrid.

Zidane went with the same side that withstood an Atletico Madrid revival to book their place in the Champions League final a week ago. After match, Zidane said “We played with a very good attitude, with a lot of determination and personality,”

Madrid wanted to avoid Celta so late in the season, but there were no other dates available as Celta was in the Europa League and Madrid in the Champions League. Madrid will play Juventus in the Champions League final on June 3.
