Washington: President of United States Donald Trump on Friday fired his chief strategist, Mr. Steve Bannon in the latest White-House actions.
Donald Trump hired Bannon a year before as his chief strategist and campaigner. Bannon was also the head of the elections campaigns of Donald Trump.
Bannon became controversial after the policies like the ban on Muslim majority countries on traveling and living in the United States.
He was not a friend of the Republican establishment and was hated by liberals but was a darling of the some of the president’s dearest and hardcore supporters.
White House officials said Bannon’s fate was decided on the comments he passed in the American Prospect Liberal magazine in which he spoke of targeting his adversaries within the administration.
Trump ousted Bannon after he came in direct fire of two ex-president’s, Republicans and American business leaders.
‘White House chief of staff John Kelly and Steve Bannon have mutually agreed today would be Steve’s last day,’ White House spokesperson Sarah Sanders told the media.
After being fired, Bannon has returned to his old position as executive chairman of right-wing Breitbart News on Friday afternoon.
On this whole scenario, Steve Bannon also uttered his views. He said, ‘The Trump presidency that we fought for is over.’
‘I just think his ability to get anything done, particularly the bigger things, like the wall, the bigger broader things that we fought for, it’s just gonna be that much harder.’
