Six killed in car bombs at Syrian camp near Jordan border.
AMMAN – Car bombs killed no less than six soldiers from Jordan’s army after bomb blasts close to a military post on the outskirt of Syria on Tuesday as the nation keeps on fighting terror on its eastern border.
One blast was close to a busy market near the camp and the second aimed at a community restaurant, they said
Mohammad Adnan, a revolt official from Jaish Ahrar al-Ashair who looks after the security of the camp said “There are no less than six syrian citizens dead and the number may rise,” .
Islamic State said “their rebels lead the Rukban camp blast”, as per the U.S.- based site. It gave no further points of interest. The announcement was made on its Amaq news office.
In January, a car automated bomb executed various innocents in the camp, and Islamic State terrorists have since continuously engaged in assaults against Syrian force in the region.
Rukban, an area close to the joint Syria-Iraq-Jordan border, is a shelter for both rebels and refugees of war, including the Jaish Ahrar al-Ashair, which battles both President Bashar al-Assad and the Islamic State rebellion. It was highly affected a year ago when a bomb exploded on it’s compound .
