SSP Rao Anwar expelled from his post after the investigating committee formed to probe to test the extrajudicial killing of Naqeebullah Mehsud observed the 27-year-old to be innocent on Saturday.
Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) AD Khajawa took the decision of expelling Rao Anwar after the probe committee prescribed his expulsion.
AD Khawaja said that investigation will be completed on justify. SSP Investigation Malik Altaf has additionally been expelled from his post.
Prior, the probe committee termed SSP Rao Anwar’s assertions against Naqeebullah unmerited and expressed that there was no verification found of Naqeebullah being a militant.
The committee had recorded the statements of 19 authorities of the Shah Latif police. The authorities, in their statement, expressed that the Shah Latif SHO had ordered them to achieve the site of the incident. “The militants had been killed when we reached that place. We didn’t make the entry in haste,” he said. Also, seven officials informed the high-ranking authorities of the facts.
