Breaking Mews – Islamabad (NEWZ247) The Supreme Court on Tuesday started hearing a suo motu case on the grisly rape and murder of seven-year-old Zainab in Kasur.
A three-member bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice Saqib Nisar, noticed that the whole country is lamenting the demise of the minor, whose body was found in a junk stack on January 11.
Punjab Additional Inspector General (AIG) Abubakar Khuda Buksh appeared before the court and told the seat that Inspector General of Police Arif Nawaz couldn’t be available today as he was occupied.
“The individual behind Zainab’s murder is a serial killer,” the chief justice observed during the hearing.
He noticed that a hole between the legal and the police must be bridged with the goal that mistakes that have been made by the last in such cases can be stayed away from.
“The police does not take direction from the court’s choices. Similar mistakes are made in every such case,” he said.
“We are attempting to close the hole between the courts and the police. For what reason shouldn’t there be correspondence between the courts and the police?” Chief Justice Nisar included.
The chief justice said that the court requires confirmation that the culprit in charge of Zainab’s demise will be arrested.”I need the criminal to be caught, not killed in an encounter,” the central equity included.
